Whats ahead for SacTown News?

Too many projects were on the table for 2011 (Women’s Football Talk, fielding my own six-man women’s tackle football team and producing other programming relating to women’s tackle football), that the one I tried to achieve with the PCFL never got off the ground.

2012 looks to be a different year and my announcement for the season will be posted soon.

“Sudden Death” author Michael Balkind Prize Giveaways

I run an LPGA Fantasy Golf site on the internet from the Sacramento area.  I was fortunate enough to acquire an author, Michael Balkind, as one of our members.  He has graciously offered to give me 3 autographed copies of his upcoming book Sudden Death for prize giveaways.  Also Michael will be sending me an advanced copy of his book in June so I will have a review out on the site prior to its release in October.  Until the release of Sudden Death, Michael will be giving away an Odyssey Putter every month.  Also if you register on his site for an email notification of the book release, you have a chance to get your own FREE autograph copy of Sudden Death.  See his site for details.

Sports Page Magazine will be taking pictures at the Sacramento Sirens game today.  Sports Page Magazine started back in December 2003 to provide sports related news to its Connecticut readers.  They currently have a staff of over 90 members and serve from Boston to Seattle and from Minneapolis down to Houston.  They also have writers located in Australia and in South America.  To learn more about Sports Page Magazine, go to http://www.sportspagemagazine.com Be sure to look for the pictures that photog C.A. Toys for the Troop’s Kids 2006 Christmas Drive

UPDATE: A Big “THANK YOU” to all that participated in making this Christmas gift giving special for so many children.  Approximately 24,000 gifts were collected.

CRVA Charities, Inc. is sponsoring the 4th Annual Toys for the Troop’s Kids 2006 Christmas Drive from December 2 through December 23.  Donations are accepted from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the event at most locations.  Check out the flier below for the nearest location.
